Cyber Resilience

Cyber Resilience is the ability of an organization, within IT security, not only to prevent cyberattacks and disruptions but to limit their impact and restore operations quickly. The term thus goes beyond pure prevention and combines protection, response, restart and the ability to learn. For organizations, cyber resilience is relevant above all because absolute security is unrealistic and operational capability to act becomes decisive in an emergency.

A resilient organization has, among other things, emergency plans, backups, clear decision-making structures, crisis communication and practiced recovery processes. Equally important is the ability to derive concrete improvements from incidents. Cyber resilience therefore concerns technology, processes, people and management alike. Especially in regulated industries, the topic is increasingly discussed at board level. Where internal resources are lacking, Managed Services can complement these capabilities operationally.
