AI in Cybersecurity

AI in Cybersecurity is the use of artificial intelligence to improve automated attack detection, analysis, prioritization and response in IT security. AI can evaluate large volumes of data quickly, recognize patterns and support analysts in routine as well as research tasks. This results in advantages in speed, scaling and, in some cases, in the quality of decisions. Typical fields of application are behavioral analysis, anomaly detection, summaries, assistance functions and automated workflows.

At the same time, AI is not a sure-fire success, because models need good data, clear guardrails and human oversight. In addition, attackers also use AI, which changes the threat situation. For organizations, AI in cybersecurity is therefore both an opportunity and a challenge; Agentic AI and Automation takes the approach a step further by letting AI agents prepare or execute operational steps themselves.
