Agentic SOC
An Agentic SOC is the next evolutionary stage of modern security operations, in which AI-supported software agents are actively involved in analysis, decision and response processes of the security operations center. In contrast to classic SOC models, which are strongly characterized by manual, human analysis, agentic systems independently take over subtasks such as triage, correlation of alerts or the prioritization of incidents. This allows large volumes of data to be evaluated faster and security incidents to be handled more efficiently.
A central characteristic is the ability of these agents to act in context and to derive recommendations for action or implement them automatically. This reduces the workload of IT security analysts and at the same time accelerates response times. The approach becomes particularly relevant when Agentic AI and Automation, automated attack detection and Managed Services interact. Nevertheless, human oversight remains essential, especially for complex decisions or critical interventions. Organizations benefit above all from scalable security operations and improved detection and response quality.
