Security Awareness Training
Security Awareness Training is the set of structured training measures with which employees learn to recognize digital risks in their everyday work and to respond to them correctly. The focus is on phishing, social engineering, password security, data handling and secure behavior in cloud and collaboration environments.
The approach is relevant because technical protective measures alone are not sufficient when attacks deliberately target people. Good awareness programs do not only impart knowledge but change behavior measurably: they combine regular phishing simulations with short, role-specific learning units and metrics such as click and reporting rates in order to make progress visible. One-off training sessions, on the other hand, quickly fizzle out – continuity is decisive.
Awareness also reduces negligent risks caused by the organization's own employees and thus complements measures against Insider Threat risks. For organizations, security awareness training is now a fixed component of modern cyber resilience.
