Endpoint Security
Endpoint Security is the protection of endpoints such as notebooks, desktops, servers and mobile devices – and of their management – against cyberattacks. Since attackers very frequently penetrate corporate networks via compromised endpoints, this area is one of the foundations of every resilient security strategy. Modern endpoint security solutions combine prevention, behavioral analysis, detection and response instead of relying solely on signature-based malware detection. This is particularly relevant in hybrid work models, in which devices are no longer permanently operated within classic network perimeters.
A good endpoint security concept helps to detect ransomware, fileless attacks, misuse of legitimate tools and lateral movement at an early stage and is a cornerstone of Ransomware Protection. It also improves transparency about the state of the devices, their patch level and suspicious activities. For organizations, this pays off not only technically but also organizationally, because incident response processes can run more clearly and faster. Endpoint security thus remains a core building block for resilience, compliance and the protection of digital workplaces.
