Cloud Security
Cloud Security is the set of all measures within IT security for protecting cloud infrastructures, cloud services, workloads and data. The term is deliberately broad, because security in the cloud includes configurations, identities, applications and runtime behavior alike. An essential characteristic is the shared responsibility between cloud provider and customer. For organizations, this means that not every protective task is automatically taken over by the provider. Typical risks are misconfigurations, excessive permissions, insecure APIs, lack of visibility and misused accounts.
A modern cloud security concept therefore combines posture management, detection, Data Protection and governance. Especially in multi-cloud environments, it is crucial to ensure transparency and consistent security policies. Cloud security has thus long ceased to be a specialist topic and is now a central component of every digital corporate strategy.
