Sales in the IT sector: listening, understanding and inspiring customers
In IT sales, it's not talking that counts, but understanding. Kimmi shows how to find tailor-made solutions with a genuine interest in the customer's needs and inspire them in the long term.
Kimmi's career began in the hotel industry, where he learned how important hospitality and professional customer service are. This experience still shapes him today. At Serviceware, he discovered that precisely these values also count in sales: listening to customers, building trust and developing lasting relationships.
Today, Kimmi is one of the key contacts for our premium customers in the field of knowledge management. With his open, empathetic manner and a deep understanding of excellent customer service, he succeeds in understanding complex requirements and developing the right solution together with the customer.
“What we really all have in common in the sales team: It's not about talking people into something. It's about building trust and working together with customers on their solution. And I really enjoy that.”

Product Development: Where a rewarding career and family life go hand in hand
A managerial position, two children and still enough time for the family! Our colleague Caro shows that a career in software development at Serviceware and a fulfilling family life go together perfectly.
During Caro's pregnancy, she was offered a new, senior position in product development and the position was kept open for her for a year. After her parental leave, she returned to work part-time, without any discussions. She can adjust her working hours flexibly so that her family and career remain in harmony.
Thanks to Serviceware, she was able to complete external training and acquired a certification that prepared her perfectly for her new role as Product Owner. Today, she works on the further development of our Corporate Performance Management software solution and successfully contributes her expertise to the team.
Particularly important to her: Real friendships have developed between colleagues, which kept her close to the team even during her parental leave. Caro also greatly appreciates the fact that Serviceware promotes the careers of women in IT.
“At Serviceware, I can develop my career in software product development without missing out on my family. This flexibility and support are priceless to me.”

HR: Sometimes it takes a career detour to find out where you really belong
This was also the case for our colleague Maria from the HR department. She left us for a new challenge, but after almost 1.5 years her path led her back to the HR team at Serviceware, where her heart really lies!
Maria wanted to break new ground and try something different. But she soon realized that she was missing creative opportunities in her new job and a strong team that would stick together. And that's exactly what she had always appreciated at Serviceware. So she returned.
With her valuable work, she ensures that our HR processes run smoothly and that our colleagues feel well looked after and supported. For her, one thing is clear: HR is not just about administration, but about supporting people and working with the team to make the working world a little better.
“I am so happy that I have always stayed connected with Serviceware. Here I have the freedom to really make things happen. Not alone, but together with colleagues who put their heart and soul into helping our employees.”

Marketing: From self-employment to teamwork
Working independently in marketing can be exciting. But always alone? That wasn't for Elke in the long run.
After years of self-employment, Elke realized that she wanted to get out of lone wolf mode and join a team. As a social being, she thrives when working together. Here in the content marketing team at Serviceware, she has found exactly that. She collects, prepares and distributes information on a daily basis: whether for social media, blog articles, our website or white papers. Her highlights are above all customer interviews or working with agencies and freelancers. What does she appreciate? The diversity of perspectives: all generations work together at Serviceware and everyone contributes their own point of view. This is how ideas are developed in sparring sessions and she learns something new every day, including how to work with a wide variety of marketing tools, such as Hubspot, Canva, Adobe, sistrix, seobility or our internal AI tools.
“Alone with the coffee machine - that wasn't for me. The best ideas are born in a team. I finally found the right sparring partners here.”

Support & Managed Service: A company that feels like family
Kai is one of our first generation of trainees – and after 25 years, he is still happily working in Support & Managed Service at Serviceware.
Even as an apprentice, Kai experienced the strong team spirit here: colleagues who step in, a team that supports each other, and a company that actively promotes development and growth. For him, it’s more than just a job – it feels a bit like home.
One memorable moment was when Kai called his family to say he was still “at home”. He didn’t mean his private home, but his workplace. A slip of the tongue that says a lot about what he has found at Serviceware: a place where he truly belongs.
Today, Kai is responsible for staff in IT Support and is a reliable team leader. With heart, patience and a genuine willingness to be there for others, he helps his team grow and ensures that our customers receive excellent support.
“There is honesty, solidarity and sometimes friction, but never indifference. That’s my team.”
