Serviceware Becomes a Member of the TBM Council Ecosystem

Written by Serviceware | May 5, 2026

Idstein Serviceware (serviceware-se.com), a leading provider of IT Financial Management (ITFM) solutions, today announced that it has joined the TBM Council Ecosystem community (www.tbmcouncil.org). Through its membership, Serviceware is reaffirming its commitment to helping organizations establish transparent, value-driven technology governance. The company will also contribute its expertise in IT Financial Management and Technology Business Management consulting to the continued development of TBM.

What Is the TBM Council?

According to the organization, the TBM Council brings together more than 20,000 professionals from over 4,000 organizations across more than 110 countries. Its community includes CIOs, finance leaders and technology professionals who share the goal of making IT expenditure easier to understand, compare and manage strategically. Alongside Serviceware, the members of the TBM Council Ecosystem include other software providers and consulting firms operating in the TBM space.

TBM processes help organizations manage their IT costs transparently, plan technology investments efficiently and measure the business value generated by IT. As a result of the new membership, Serviceware customers will benefit even more from established TBM standards, best practices and innovative approaches to modern IT cost and service management.

New Membership Delivers Benefits for Both Sides

Serviceware will contribute its many years of experience from ITFM and TBM projects to the work of the TBM Council. Through its software platform and consulting expertise, Serviceware helps organizations directly link technology expenditure to improved business outcomes. This includes integrating cloud and AI governance into TBM practices, improving planning and forecasting, enabling well-informed investment decisions, and incorporating TBM into digital business transformation initiatives.

IT leaders will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas directly with Serviceware experts at the TBM EMEA Summit in Amsterdam on June 25, 2026, and at the TBM Conference in Miami from November 9 to 11, 2026.

“Becoming part of the TBM Council Ecosystem is an important strategic step for us. We are delighted to further strengthen the value we deliver through IT Financial Management and TBM consulting,” said Dr. Alexander Becker, COO of Serviceware. “Today, our customers expect maximum transparency regarding their technology expenditure, as well as reliable information on which to base decisions about investments, services and cloud strategies. By engaging with the TBM Council Ecosystem community, we can incorporate current market standards and best practices into our solutions even more quickly. At the same time, we can contribute to their effective development and help generate additional value for customers.”

ITFM and TBM Solutions Provide Transparency into IT Expenditure

Rising technology and cloud costs are making transparency, efficient planning and accurate cost allocation increasingly important for organizations. Serviceware Financial enables companies to centrally manage, analyze and optimize their IT costs. Among other capabilities, the solution supports IT cost transparency, planning and forecasting, benchmarking, and supplier and contract management.

“IT is increasingly viewed as a strategic business enabler rather than merely a cost center,” explained Serviceware COO Dr. Alexander Becker. “Our ITFM solutions cover the planning, control and management of IT costs and resources. The objective is to ensure that IT expenditure is aligned with the organization’s business goals and creates measurable value.”

Serviceware’s well-known IT Financial Management customers include companies from the oil and gas, chemical, automotive and retail industries.
